Providing theraputic support to adults individual and couple work and Young People

The therapy which is offered can be from different models. Primarily it is Person Centred. Other types of therapy are used like CBT, Solution focused, TA and Gestalt. The Creative Therapies used are art, drama and psychodrama. All these therapies co-operate with unconscious material enabling a person to find their own solutions.

I am in supervision according to the requirements recommended by British Association of Counselling  and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am an accredited practitioner. I am committed to personal therapy. I offer a service, which upholds confidentiality in a safe environment. Counselling sessions usually last up to 60 minutes and are offered to suit the client.

I am committed to working within the spirit of equal opportunities and will not discriminate on any ground.

The therapy offered enables you, the client, to feel supported in knowing what is best for yourself and deciding and accepting responsibility for what changes might be made.  Overall my counselling function is to facilitate and support.  The therapy I offer is provided according to need i.e. pace and frequency suitable to  you the client.  My   work is frequently supervised. Currently I access peer and individual supervision.

I am committed to Continued Professional Development and as an accredited Practitioner must keep up to date with current practice by attending regular training events (more detail can be given on request)

Supervision sessions can be booked as required. Regular supervision is best face-to-face, but it is possible to do this online / by phone / by email or a combination of these. You may use sessions as specialist consultation to act as an additional support to other types of supervision.
