Introduction
Shiatsu is a Japanese healing therapy, which uses pressure points in the body to re-establish balance and harmony. Through a combination of acupressure points (tsubos), massage, stretching and breathing techniques, shiatsu releases the tension and stress which blocks the flow of energy (chi) and leads to 'dis-ease' of body, mind and spirit.
It can help with a number of ailments, including physical pains, emotional stress, hormonal imbalances, especially pmt and is a fantastic support when pregnant (after 1st trimester). It can, however, also redress a sense of general 'malaise' when you are just not sure what is wrong!
